East Ocean View Civic League Members

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, April 4th at 7:00 pm at the East Ocean View Community and Senior Center located at 9520 20th Bay St.  The meeting agenda is attached. Our guest speakers will be Delegate Phil Hernandez (94th District), Councilman Tommy Smigiel (Ward 5), and Mr. Mahone (Emergency Management Coordinator).  

This is our opportunity to hear firsthand from Delegate Hernandez about the Bills, Resolutions, and Budget proposals from the 2024 General Assembly.  

We asked Councilman Smigiel to update our members on the City Manager’s Proposed 2025 Budget as it relates to EOV Drainage concerns and scheduled improvements, the 21st Bay St Traffic Signal and Crosswalk, and the Ocean View Beach full sand renourishment. The agenda also contains a link to the City Manager's Budget Comment Form. 

The Emergency Management presentation will address the overall system that coordinates community resources to prepare, respond, and recover from all natural and man-made hazards that may impact the City of Norfolk.
