Our March meeting will be held on Thursday, March 2nd at 7:00 at the East Ocean View Community Center located at 9520 20th Bay Street. The guest speakers will be Alyssa Flatt, City of Norfolk Floodplain Planner and Community Rating System Coordinator and Summer Ateseye, Norfolk Department of Public Health.
New civic league by-laws (attached) will be formally presented to members with a formal vote of approval planned for April. Please submit any comments or suggestions for the by-laws via email prior to the meeting. We will also conduct two procedural votes related to how the civic league handles Conditional Use Permit (CUP) requests for Short Term Rentals (STR). Additional information is included in the attached agenda.
We will once again live stream the meeting via Zoom for members who are not able to attend in person. The Zoom link is included in the attached agenda. Please note that members who join via Zoom will do so as "view only" participants and will not be able to ask questions via the chat, participate in the discussion, or vote. Those who join via Zoom may not be able to hear the full discussion as technical limitations only allow audio for the person speaking with the microphone in the rec center gymnasium.
