East OV Beach Renourishment - Cleanup and Sand Sifting

Received from the Department of Public Works: East OV Beach Renourishment - Cleanup and Sand Sifting.  

The contractor has indicated that they are able to get further into the tidal zone since they are on the beach all day. They have a smooth process in place but cannot predict a completion time as the amount of debris found in the area they are currently working has increased a little. 

If sifting is needed beyond the end of next week, the contractor will clear the work zone for Memorial Day weekend and return during the week to continue. They hope to be completed by May 24th, but will continue sifting operations and moving eastward if we are still seeing a significant amount of debris in the fill.

They are also going to resume twice weekly cleanup at low tides in the renourished area outside of their work zone.
