Colleen Sande

Colleen Sande brings more than 24 years of experience in technology, education, and real estate. During her career as a network engineer, she supported both public and private sector organizations, including NAVFAC Southwest, the Navy Public Works Center in San Diego, NATO Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, and Everest College, where she also served as an IT professor. Today, she is a licensed real estate agent and active real estate investor with Mid-Atlantic Realty & Associates.

A resident of East Beach since 2009, Colleen has been actively involved in the community for more than a decade. After attending her first Civic League meeting in 2011, she was inspired to become more engaged in neighborhood leadership. Since 2022, she has proudly served as Treasurer of the East Ocean View Civic League, helping oversee the organization's finances and support initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents.

Originally from South Philadelphia, Colleen earned her degree from Andover College before relocating to Virginia Beach, where she met her husband, Drew, during his service in the U.S. Navy. Together, they built their life in Hampton Roads while navigating the challenges and rewards of military service, raising their daughter, Christina, and establishing deep roots in the community.

Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Colleen enjoys boating, sailing, and exploring new destinations on the water with her husband. Whether serving her community, clients, or family, she is guided by a simple philosophy: “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
