A Bit About Christopher
Christopher “Chris” Robinson is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida who served 31 years (from 1987 – 2018) in the United States Marine Corps. While on active duty, he served in Marine Aviation, Infantry, supporting establishments, Drill Instructor Duty and as a Combat/Aircrew Water Survival Instructor Trainer. During his career Chris participated in numerous training, operational, and combat deployments, including the Gulf War, Operations Northern Watch in Turkey, the Western Pacific, Operations Iraqi Freedom, and Operations Enduring Freedom Afghanistan in support of the global war on terrorism. His military awards include: The Legion of Merit (2 awards); Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards); Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards); Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards); Navy/Marine Corps Parachutist insignia; Enlisted Aircrew insignia; and various unit and campaign awards.
After retiring from the military, Chris has served as a substitute English, Math and Science teacher at Ocean View Christian Academy; as a member of the Ocean View Small Business Association; as a board member of East Ocean View Civic League, and he is currently employed part-time for the City of Norfolk in the Parks and Recreation Aquatics Division. Chris is actively involved in various activities and dedicates much of his free time to volunteering. His personal interest includes playing golf, cycling, boating, and he devotes much of his time at church as a greeter, usher, and co-lead for the men’s ministry. He is a local veteran advocate, mentor, consultant, and military keynote speaker. Chris also leads a men’s golf mentorship group comprised of local retirees and active-duty veterans who suffer with PTSD and service-related illnesses.

Chris is a man of faith who holds a Master of Science degree in Christian Counseling (MCC) from Liberty University, and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership (MAOL) from Regent University. He is married to the former Colleen Wilcox, Gunnery Sergeant USMC (Retired) of Waterford, MI; and he has (3) children and (9) grandchildren.
