Norfolk Safety Advocacy Group: October Meetings; Recordings

There are two Norfolk Safety Advocacy Group meetings scheduled for October.

October 24th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM: Commonwealth's Attorney, Ramin Fatehi

Location: 2329 E. Little Creek Road, Norfolk, VA 23518

October 30th from 6:00-7:00 PM: New Norfolk Chief of Police, Chief Mark Talbot

Location: 2329 E. Little Creek Road, Norfolk, VA 23518

***UPDATE: Youth Earn and Learn Jobs-for-Kids will be partnering with us to host the October 30th meeting. I am very thankful for Karen Bailey for this partnership.*** The Youth Earn and Learn Jobs-for-Kids will be bringing their tasty treats to sell to attendees. Not only are they nutritious, but buying their items is supporting the empowerment of Norfolk youth. A double win. I am envisioning that they will sell their items before the meeting (from 5:45 PM to 5:55 PM) and then again after the Chief Talbot finishes his presentation at 7:00 PM (7:05 PM to 7:25 PM).

Recordings from previous meetings:

August 31st Meeting: Audio

I recorded the audio from the introductory segment of our August 31st meeting, which was a discussion forum. The audio is not the best (sorry!), and I will try a different recording method next time.

September 7th Meeting: Video

Thank you to one of our members who recorded video of Delegate Jackie Hope Glass's presentation on how to read bills, create laws, and advocate to elected officials to pass laws in Virginia.
